Fed of Fly Fishers Master Casting Instructor, IrelandBased in North America, the Federation of Fly Fishers or FFF is an international organization representing all aspects of the sport, from education to conservation. Its casting instructor program has certified more than 1,000 instructors throughout the world, in countries as diverse as the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Denmark, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. The FFF program certifies instructors in three categories: Certified Fly Casting Instructor, Two-Handed Instructor (THCI) and Master Fly Casting Instructor. FFF tests require an excellent knowledge of casting techniques and the ability to perform the casts to strictly controlled standards. The FFF Master Certified Fly Casting Instructor test is probably the most rigorous and demanding qualification available in the World. March 2007 Following on from his success in the Certified Fly Casting Instructors examination Colin completed his examination and assessment for the FFF Master Certified Fly Casting Instructor in Navan, Ireland.
September 2006 Colin was one of four candidates who successfully passed their Federation of Fly Fishers Casting Instructors examination and assessment. The assessment took place at Colebrooke Park in Co Fermanagh by kind permission of Lord Brookeborough.
The main theme of THE FFF FLY CASTING INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION is to enhance the overall level of instruction in fly casting, including instructor knowledge, casting proficiency, and teaching ability.
